Showing radiant smile
A blithe spirit
Thrust forward
Bearing a ‘Little Boy’
Through the clouds
The ‘Little Boy’bounced..
Rushing to embrace
The ground below
A flash of light,
A booming sound
An eerie silence..
Ensued, the rendezvous
Reconnoitering,
From heavens
Alongside Death ;
‘Enola Gay’

A sad day for humanity indeed! When will we learn to live together in peace!

This is a powerful piece. Of history, and of the reminder of the peace we all desire.

Little boy is such a name for such a vicious thing… and still we have not come to terms with the consequences

Oh how sad. I was a child then and throughout my life have lived in the shadow of war and fear of bombing. This is powerful in its simplicity.
